All images must have alternative text. Do not set images as decorative images. Alternative text is used for accessibility purposes for visually impaired users. Alt text is read when a user is using a screen reader on the website. The alt text should describe what is in the photo. You want to try and give visually impaired users the same information and experience as users without visual impairment.
