All pages should have the description field filled in. The description field is what will show in search engine results below the page title.  If no title is filled information about the page will be filled in from an excerpt of the content. This often times results in poor information that does not make sense. Descriptions should be no longer than 155 characters. They should contain information about what can be found on the page and be formatted in a way that makes people want to click on the item in a search.

EXAMPLE:

"Get to know the University of Nebraska Kearney. Here you can find information about UNK's programs, history, campus and Chancellor. Also find information about the Kearney Community"

The example is exactly 155 characters. It is worded well and invokes people to view the page.
