Headings should be used in an outline form. Heading 1 (H1) should never be used within the editor. Heading 1 is only to be used once per page and the title of the page is preset to use heading 1.

Heading 2 (H2) should be used as the primary headings to break up the page.

Heading 3 (H3) should be used to separate sub-sections of information under Heading 2

Heading 4 (H4) should be used to separate sub-sections of information under Heading 3

Heading 5 (H5) should be used to separate sub-sections of information under Heading 4

Heading 6 (H6) should be used to separate sub-sections of information under Heading 5

In the example below you can see the page has two main sections (About ITS and Policies)

About ITS has sub-sections of (Mission and Goals)

Policies has sub-sections of (Website and General Policies)

Website has sub-sections of (purpose and Advertisements)

So in outline form this lays out as:

    • Goals (H3)
  • Policies(H2)
    • Website (H3)
