By default the WYSIWYG editor recognizes a press of the return or enter key as a new paragraph in html which is a <p> tag. This creates a double line break. Double line breaks are best around paragraphs and larger groups of text.
To get a single line return you must hold "shift" and press "return". This creates a hard line break in html which is a <br /> tag.
